About the instructor:
Nicholas Anthony Bird grew up in Alta Loma, California, where his love for storytelling led him to pursue filmmaking and theater. He studied directing at Columbia College-Hollywood, where he trained under Corey Allen—known for directing Star Trek: The Next Generation and Murder, She Wrote—who also starred alongside James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause.
While at Columbia, Nick gained hands-on industry experience interning for Mark Canton at The Canton Company, contributing to films like Angel Eyes starring Jennifer Lopez and the Get Carter remake with Sylvester Stallone. This behind-the-scenes work gave him firsthand knowledge of the filmmaking process, from development to production.
To further refine his storytelling, Nick trained at Playhouse West, a prestigious acting school where talents like Jeff Goldblum, Scott Caan, James Franco, and Mark Pellegrino honed their craft. Immersing himself in performance gave him a deeper understanding of working with actors, enriching his directorial approach.
With a strong foundation in film, theater, and performance, Nick continues to create compelling stories across multiple mediums.
Houde School of Acting does not offer refunds if you drop/cancel a class or workshop. If you drop a class no later than a full week before the first day of class we will offer a full credit for the following month of class.
