Class Format:
Prior to Workshop:

• All students have to submit a tape in advance.

• Scenes will be assigned the Sunday before the event and will be DUE at 12pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 ET. Late tapes will not be accepted or watched during class, so DO NOT sign up late for this event and DO NOT get your tapes in late! Students MUST also follow exact tape submission details for consideration.

Workshop Day:

• Intro: We'll go over Alex’s Audition Preparation Guide and all of the “rules.”

• Watch all submitted tapes.

• LIVE work sessions: Everyone will work on their feet and incorporate the notes to work live with a reader, and take redirects on the fly.

• Callbacks: For each scene, we'll choose a SMALL number of people who'll get a “callback” and vote as a group on who “books” the role. The person who “books” the role will receive a FREE online class or virtual session with Alex Collins.

• Industry Q&A

About Alex Collins:
Alex is an actor most recently known for his portrayal of General Sherman in Apple TV's critically acclaimed Manhunt, as well as playing Dr. Charles McNider/Dr. MidNite on DC's hit series Stargirl on the CW. Other credits include a recurring role as Crane on the HBO series Lovecraft Country and Max Green in the Oscar-nominated film Richard Jewell. He has also been seen in Sleepy Hollow, Cobra Kai, True Detective, The Gifted and TURN: Washington's Spies, to name just a few.

Alex Collins is a 23+ year member of SAG-AFTRA, with experience in both the L.A. and Atlanta markets; as an actor, content creator, producer of both union films and live theatre, acting teacher, audition coach, and industry consultant.

Houde School of Acting does not offer refunds if you drop/cancel a class or workshop.

Due to the format of the classes, there are no make-up classes.
